HBO’s award-winning series Barry is a comedy-of-errors for the 21st century. Warner Bros. has experienced a less-than-ideal pre-production process for The Batman. The buzz coming out of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, while mixed overall, pointed to Ben Affleck being the potential saving grace of the newly established DCEU – as not only an actor, but director as well. Though he’s since dropped out of the director’s spot, Affleck is still attached to star in and produce the film, as Matt Reeves has officially been brought on to direct....

Battlebots: an amazingly fun series that lets fans indulge in their bloodlust, knowing that no humans are harmed in the battle. But plenty of bots are. The series has been going on for several years now, with 2019 having some of the most drastic changes and battles to date. But with any bot redesign, there comes certain risks. The bot could end up being one of the best bots of the season (which they all hope for, naturally)....

So say we all: Battlestar Galactica is getting a reboot from Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail for NBCU’s new Peacock streaming service. Battlestar Galactica began life as a television series in 1978 that starred Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict and Lorne Greene. That series lasted all of one season but garnered a cult following that launched a limited TV series sequel in 1980, as well as comic books, novels, video games and a board game....

BGR reports that Best Buy’s internal sales forecast is expecting an iPhone 5 on Sprint with pre-sales beginning the first week in October. That lines up with our earlier report, though as both we and the Best Buy statement mentioned, launch dates are subject to changes. We first reported news of a Sprint iPhone 5 back in June which followed clues in April when Apple beefed up its cellular engineering team in Kansas City, which is Sprint’s HQ....

Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) trusty robot Dum-E is featured in an Avengers: Endgame LEGO set, hinting that it may appear in the film. Fans would remember the droid as one of the two robots from the first Iron Man in 2008 that helped MCU’s founding hero while he was building the Mark II (the other one being Dum-U). After his Malibu house was destroyed in Iron Man 3, Stark was seen hauling Dum-E from the rubble, giving the impression that it went with him to his brand new home in New York....

The super friends have teamed up to fight obscure villains before, but in their upcoming series Batman/Superman, they’re facing the Ultra-Humanite himself. A BBC TV show dealing with consumer protection issues will claim this evening that Apple is using a clause in its terms & conditions to refuse its cut-price battery replacement service for older iPhones. The clause says that any other damage to the phone must be repaired first, at full rate, before it will replace batteries. The problem, says the BBC Watchdog program in a show to be aired this evening, is that this clause doesn’t appear to exist …...

AAPL stock has officially entered a bear market as its stock has fallen more than 20% from its high on October 3. A stock, or a market as a whole, is considered to be in bear territory when its price has fallen 20% or more from its highest price in the past 12 months. AAPL entered a bear market when it fell by 3.96% in yesterday’s trading, making a total decline of 20....

Apple has unveiled a new bold lineup of its Beats Solo 3 Wireless headphones today with the Club Collection. The new options are arriving along with a partnership with the fashion and beauty show NAYVA which will use the headphones as inspiration in an upcoming episode. The yacht crew has some issues and someone is seen walking away from the boat. The crew’s motto is to work hard and play harder, and sometimes the two get mixed up. This reality series that has been running since 2013 showcases a group of young people as they work on privately owned, luxurious yachts....

Before it was even released, fans and critics everywhere knew that Doctor Strange was going to end up being one of Marvel Studio’s most ambitious films to date. Telling one of the more complex and detailed origin stories in Marvel Comics, the film effectively blew open the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse to a world of magic and alternate dimensions like it had never seen before. Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange made his entrance into the universe a memorable one, and was welcomed with both critical and financial success upon the film’s release....

THE BAD: Comic Sans You probably shouldn’t be too surprised seeing Comic Sans on this list. Before we get to the negative side, let’s get the positives out of the way. Yes, it’s a free and casual style font that isn’t meant to be taken seriously. Yes, it is also one of the few fonts approved for use for Dyslexics by the British Dyslexia Association (BDA). The Marvel Cinematic Universe dominates the majority of today’s movie headlines, but Marvel still has plenty to offer outside of its Disney-owned studio. Live-action Marvel projects date all the way back to 1944 (it shouldn’t come as a shock that Dick Purcell’s Captain America didn’t quite make the list), with Republic, Universal, and New Line among the distributors of its various movie attempts in the past. A group of Republican senators are making yet another attempt to ban end-to-end encryption in messaging services, which would make illegal Apple’s Messages and FaceTime services, as well as a wide range of other message apps like WhatsApp, Signal and Telegram. No surprise, either, that they are again demonstrating that they don’t understand how end-to-end encryption works … Three senators have proposed the Lawful Access to Encrypted Data Act. The claim is, of course, nonsense....
